I’m moving!
What!?!
Not really. I’m just testing out some April Fools jokes a little early. I’m still in New York.
BUT! I am moving blogs for a bit. I’ll be tumblring from the lovely land of www.nynat.com… Feel free to follow along my new New York journey there!
Annnd this is why I love creative agencies.
Sometimes.. when I can’t sleep because my room is so frigid… I wish I had asked for this guy for Christmas instead of my electric blanket face mask to help me walk the streets of New York.
Look at those eyes. They’ve got “World’s Best Spooner” written all over ‘em.
There are those days when I wake up and look out my window at the building after building sprawled out before me and I am hit with what I call the “Colorado Craving.” Every fiber of my being yearns take off in a little plane like this and fly far, far away to a snowy paradise where I can ski until my heart’s content.*
Today is one of those days.
*(I also have a not-so-secret fetish with all things Patagonia soo to say that I enjoy the beauty of film is quite the understatement. And for my last side note, this film is set in the wonderful world of Alaska. Not Colorado. But I like alliterations. Sue me.)
Just recently journeyed to the Top of the Rock. It saddens me to report that Kenneth was nowhere to be found.
What’s the best thing about a 6:45am Starbucks run to energize the workflow at the home office? The camaraderie that unfolds when you walk inside and your fellow coffee drinkers look at you with that silent but familiar “Yes, we know its still pitch black dark outside” look and “Yes, this pumpkin latte is the only thing that will keep me going.” Solidarity.
Also. I’m 99.3% confident that these are the pumpkins they use for the lattes. Because there ain’t no way that thing’s gettin’ carved.
oh how this delights my soul.

Here’s a glimpse into the life of my dear friends and lovebirds, Matt and Rachael. On October 22nd, they tied the knot, and I made this video montage to celebrate these Andersons.
Video evidence of all that there is to love about my new home.
Yeah. I wish I could be this guy for Halloween…
Jason Harwell is the man. And you two are my favorite!! Party time countdown… FIVE DAYS!!!
Our favorite wedding gift! Have a listen!
Today’s aha moment: When my job let me film, taste and frolic my way through Illinois wine country. (@ Mackinaw Valley) Watch out Nappa… Illinois is coming for ya.

Today in Peoria, IL:
While a roller derby mom records her aha moment in the Airstream, the associate producer morphs into nanny mode. I kept waiting to hear that her aha moment was when she forgot a babysitter. So, just another day at the office.. With moms who throw me their 1.5 year olds.. Who make me download new games of angry birds.. Because they’ve already beaten the lower levels.. #KidsTheseDays
After the tap dancing legend made is Aha debut, I stumbled across a surprise festival. And I love surprises like Gary, our driver, loves his truck’s exterior body art.
So you can imagine my elation when we checked into our Norfolk hotel, I do my routine chat up with the concierge, and BOOM! Surprise round 2. We happen to be in town for Norfolk’s finest waterfront celebration, Harbor Fest. Here’s some quick iPhone clips of pirate ships, mermaids and dog jumping, oh my!
